The vision of Nehru Gram Bharati (Deemed to be University) was inspired by the ideals of our first Prime Minister, Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, who laid its foundation stone in 1962 at Rishi Durvasha Ashram, Kotwa-Jamunipur, Prayagraj. He envisioned an institution that would bring quality education and enlightenment to the rural heartland of India.

This vision was realized by our founder, Sri J. N. Mishra, whose commitment to rural upliftment through education gave life to Nehru Gram Bharati. Guided by his belief that education drives social transformation, the university has become a center of academic excellence blending traditional wisdom with modern learning.
