Greetings!


The Nehru Gram Bharati (Deemed to be University), Prayagraj (UP) has established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 28th May, 2015. The IQAC being an integral part of the University works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement by developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in different aspects of functioning of the Nehru Gram Bharati.


The IQAC assures the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, management, funding agencies and society in general – of the accountability and transparency in the quality management system of the institution and its concern for ensuring quality of education being imparted.


Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a step towards excellence. The IQAC of NGB(DU), organizes various programmes for faculty, administrative staff and quality circle members. It conducts open forum to provide interface between students and officials of the deemed university. It conducts staff assessment to provide valuable feedback for quality sustenance and improvement in teaching, learning and research experiences in the college. It documents and reports various activities of the college for various higher education requirements. A continuous follow up has been made on infrastructural resources of the deemed university to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities to assure conducive and enabling environment for teaching, learning and research. Through all these measures IQAC happens to be one of the important components of the university which ensures quality and continuous improvement in all the twenty six departments of NGB(DU), Prayagraj.
 

About IQAC 

♦As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution's system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
♦The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.
♦ One of the significant contribution of IQAC is to implement the students feedback on the curriculum. The feedback is collected online and offline mode and is done at the end of each semester. The feedback collected on curriculum is compiled and are reported to the departments and accordingly necessary corrective measures are taken. 
♦ Nehru Gram Bharati Deemed University was accredited by NAAC in November, 2015 for the first cycle and preparation is going on for the second cycle of accreditation. The IQAC of NGB(DU) continued to strive for the betterment of processes and setup.
♦ The IQAC of Nehru Gram Bharati (Deemed to be University) is located in the newly constructed Central Library Building at Shashi Campus.

Goals of IQAC 

♦ To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
♦ To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
♦ Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level.
♦ The IQAC is meant to plan, guide and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the University.
♦ The IQAC shall channelize and systematize the effort to boost the University in the path of academic excellence.

Operational Features of the IQAC at NGB(DU) 

♦ Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
♦ Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
♦ Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
♦ Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
♦ Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
♦Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
♦ Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
♦ Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality.
♦ Development of Quality Culture in the institution

Routine activities of IQAC 

♦ Preparation of the Annual Report  of the University.
♦ Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
♦ Participating in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and sending necessary after compiling those collected from the departments.
♦ Conducting meetings on regular basis and presenting before all stakeholders of the university the area where the university needs improvement .
♦Collection of annual Performance Based Appraisal(PBAS) of faculties and Feedback on Curriculum from students.
