RESEARCH AMENITIES

[I] Central Instrumentation Facility: It comprises of basic and advanced research instruments listed herein;

·         Light Emitting Diode Fluorimeter (Uranium Analyser), M/s UA-01, Quantalase, Indore.

·         Phase contrast microscope (M/s Olympus) Laminar Hood

·         Incubator

·         GPS

·         The instruments were procured from Government funded project from Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS GOI).

 

The following instruments were procured from University Research Seed Fund:

·         UV- VIS Spectrophotometer (M/s. Thermo Fisher)

·         Thermal Cycler (PCR) (M/s. Bio-Rad)

·         Elisa Reader and Washer (M/s. Bio-Rad) Refrigerated Centrifuge (M/s. Bio-Rad)

·         Horizontal and Vertical Electrophoresis unit (M/s. Bio-Rad)

·         Universal Power Unit

[II] Soil and Water Testing Laboratory

                                                                                                                                                     At research Centre Soil and Water Testing Laboratory is established with technical support received from our Collaborative partner Bioved Agricultural Institute (Shringberpuram), Prayagraj and IFFCO, Phulpur. The facility is boon for the local population as well as for research purpose.

[III] Animal House

NGB (DU)  has established Central Animal facility for research purpose. The Ethical Committee has been constituted and CPCSEA clearance is under process.

[IV] Fisheries Pond

A pond of 30/50 feet and two small pond of 20/15  feet is under construction intended to provide fisheries culture, production of the local population under the skill development collaborative program offered by CIFRI, Prayagraj.

[V] Herbal Garden and Green House @ Jamunipur campus

        Under the collaborative program with BHU, the department of Botany at Jamunipur  campus is developing Herbal nursery along with green house facility to nurture and cultivate medicinal plant.

Research Mothedology Course in Social Sciences

A research methodology course in Social Science is essential for building the skills and knowledge required to conduct meaningful and rigorous research, contributing to the advancement of the field and preparing students for diverse career paths. The course aims to impart skills that will enable young research scholars for nurturing their talent as future researchers. The present course would emphasize interactive sessions, analytical exercises, group discussions, sample collection, tools, techniques, research papers. Course will be able to attempt the need to build capacity and develop the potential of researchers in social sciences to adopt an interactive, system- theoretic, unified approach in research. The subjects covered must thoroughly explore aspects of the social process which are interlinked, such as, the economic with the political; the political with the cultural; the cultural with the religious and the geographic with the economic and to take a holistic view of the social processes with its application to special empirical problems. Dear Research Scholars (CRET 2022-23) Congratulations for successful completion of 06 month course work and subsequent exam. Now you are advised to appear and present your proposed Synopsis in Departmental Research Committee (DRC) Meeting scheduled on Sep.18-20; 2023 at Research Centre. Your Course work certificate, Guide allotment and synopsis will be presented and may approved on same DRC. Your presence is mandatory. The documents required before attending DRC are as following; 01. Six month progress report as PPT and hardcopy duly forwarded by HOD. 02. Proposed Synopsis 03. NOC from Employer (if needed) along with self-attested Aadhar card Xerox 04. First and Second year fee receipt is required to appear in above-mentioned DRC.
